Viennas JULY 2019
349. $150
German open well wall clock made by Schlenker-Kienzle, ca 1911.
This may well be the finest clock in this collection of German clocks that languished in a storage warehouse for 50 years. Although,
this one came out of a home, not a storage building. It is clean, nice, and all original. The elaborately decorated walnut case is
42 inches tall, has applied decorations from top to bottom, glass door over the intricately cast brass pendulum, bowed glass in the
door over the dial, and a very nice dial, inner dial, and original hands. The movement is typical of German clocks made during this
era, 8-day time and coil gong strike. This one and a couple of the others previously photographed and written up, are keepers. $200-$300.
